Hi! I'm Chris, also known as djpc or djpc123 online. I'm an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in Computer Science, having graduated from the University of Kent.

Programming and Technology

I have extensive experience across the full software development lifecycle, working with various technologies and platforms. My primary expertise lies in backend development, particularly with Java and Python, but I'm comfortable working across the stack, including frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (such as Vue/Nuxt, which powers this site!).

I enjoy tackling complex technical challenges and have experience in areas like distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and database management. I'm proficient with both Linux and Windows environments and have a passion for automation and efficient development practices. I am also keenly interested in the potential of AI and actively exploring ways to leverage AI technologies in software development.

Interests

Outside of coding, I have a young family that keeps me busy. I'm a PC gaming enthusiast and enjoy keeping up with the latest hardware and titles. I also have a keen interest in motorsports, particularly F1. More recently, I've developed a passion for DIY, undertaking numerous projects around my house and managing the smallholding I own.
